A couple ounces of castor oil will help lessen future bloating.
This is just Ike tube feeding newborn kittens except we measure the approximate distance from the mouth to the stomach on the tube so we know when it’s in the stomach and not the lungs. Very interesting
This does not work, the tube cannot reach the abomasum where the gas is located:https://hoards.com/article-1303-you-can-prevent-bloat-in-calves.htmlhttps://www.drovers.com/article/beating-bloat-calves
"When adult cows bloat, free gas becomes trapped in the rumen and they become distended on the left side," Smith says. "Bloat in young calves is caused by excessive gas accumulation in the abomasum."
watched youe video and went straight out to help our calf with bloat ! thank you for the information it helped us alot
Why they bloat? They can't fart?
Just suscribed to ur channel am a dairy farmer from ireland u must be nuts but i admire u best of luck
Maybe a bit of long stem hay so as to "tickle" the rumen as a preventative?
Liquid paraffin or bloatenz are good with hay
You could also take a needle and poke it into the stomach of the calf
Do you keep them after they bloat? I've heard that once they bloat it will happen again.
If people say it's cruel this is not cruel!! This is nothing but helping the calf!!
